Before you begin installation, gather the necessary tools and materials. You’ll need an adjustable wrench, pipe wrench, screwdriver, pipe tape, plumber’s putty, and a level. Additionally, ensure you have the shower mixer set, including the valve body, trim kit, and any accessories or components.

Shut off the water supply:

Locate the main water shut-off valve for your home and turn off the water supply to the bathroom where you’ll be installing the shower mixer set. Use a wrench to turn the valve clockwise until it’s fully closed. Open the faucets in the bathroom to drain any remaining water from the pipes.

Remove existing fixture (if applicable):

If you’re replacing an old shower valve, start by removing the existing fixture. Use a wrench to disconnect the water supply lines and a screwdriver to remove any screws or fasteners securing the trim plate or handle. Carefully pull the valve body out of the wall, taking care not to damage the surrounding tiles or plumbing.
